About Us
Seshane is a meeting and event hotel set on 10,000 m² of land in the village of Öğümce, in Beykoz, Istanbul. It hosts meeting, training and event groups only.

Why Groups Only
Seshane does not accept individual guests. This is not about capacity; it is how the place works. When a group arrives, the studio it works in is kept for that group alone, and on most dates the whole property serves a single group.
In practice: no stranger walks through the middle of a session, you do not share the space with holidaymakers, and the evening conversation is not interrupted. For corporate teams and retreat groups, that is the real difference.

The Village of Öğümce
Öğümce is a neighborhood of Beykoz, 25 km from central Beykoz and 57 km from central Istanbul. The drive from the European side takes about 35–40 minutes, depending on traffic.
The village goes back some six hundred years; it is said to have been founded when Bayezid I took Şile. There are hiking trails nearby and the Dedeler Fountain. The Glass Furnace Foundation, known as Turkey's largest glass and art center, is in the village as well.

Our Team
Seshane runs with a small team, about eighty percent of whom are women. The team has completed training in sustainable tourism, waste management, sustainability policy, first aid and hygiene.
Every new year is welcomed together with the staff and their families. Chestnuts gathered in the nearby forest by the team and their relatives are served to guests by the wood stove in winter. Nevruz, religious holidays and the day of aşure are kept with small celebrations.
Our Social Projects
The Seshane Sofrası Cookbook
A book of economical, practical recipes using local ingredients found in every kitchen. It sets out to record traditional table culture and local flavors.
Many Hearts, One Book
A social project that turns income from the book into children's wishes come true. So far it has covered a bicycle, a day at the cinema and the school costs of two siblings.
Sustainability
We hold a Stage 2 certificate under the Turkey Environmental and Cultural Sustainability Program and a Zero Waste Certificate. We measure energy, water and waste per person and report them yearly. All of our purchasing is local.
